90th ADC CALLFOR ENTRY GRAPHIC - NY Art Directors Club


The Art Diretors Club New York decided to reach out to the past ADC winners to crowd source their 90th Award show call for entriy graphic. The only rule was to somehow visualize the ADC cube trophy. 5 winners were chosen, and mine was one of those.

My idea was to create the cube out of all the past ADC Annuals. While I was concepting and looking through the ADC annuals, I noticed that all the past annuals had a similar size, which made me think of using them as building blocks. The fact that I am living in New York made it possible for me to visit the ADC Gallery, and borrow the annuals from their library. The one on the top front is the very first ADC annual published in 1925.

The photo has been used for the 90th ADC Awards banners, posters, and pint ads.
