88 COLORS - Uniqlo Shanghai
|This is a website that was concepted in collabration with Shun Kawakami & Kentaro Katsube for a new Uniqlo flag-ship store in Shanghai. The idea was to showcase the special limited edition 88 colored polo shirts using 88 girls from the local Shanghai area, and tap into the Chinese social network scene using Youku, which hasn't been used for a promotion in such a scale. Each dance sequence connects to create a large choreography, and when you click on each of the grid, you can see the girl's dance scene as well as an interview.
After the initial concepting phase, I worked together with director Masatsugu Nagasoe & Monster Films to create the film elements of the site. All the films also combines to create a stop motion sequence using all of the 88 girls' footages into one film. We created multiple edits of this video, so you will see a different edit everytime you watch it on the site.
