TATAMI GALAXY / KAMISAMA NO IUTOORI - Fuji Television Noitamina


This is an ending animation sequence / music video for an anime TV show 'Yojo-han Shinwa Taikei (Tatami Galaxy, directed by Masaaki Yuasa)', which I created in collaboration with director Takuya Hosogane. The concept of bringing a 'tatami floor plan' to life, stemmed from the title 'Tatami' and how the story later unveils itself to become an endless loop of the hero's life. The animation has become the most talked about anime program of spring/summer 2010, and the ending animation was well received by both anime fans & motion graphic fans. In fact, the band (Sunahara & Ishiwatari & Yakushimaru) that made the ending track 'Kamisama no Iutoori' liked the animation as well, and have asked us to create their full length music video with the same concept.
